The Tactic has been discontinued and replaced with our new Ohm instrument. The Ohm is a significant upgrade to the Tactic in function, controls, and design. We plan to release a new Tactic m3 in 2008. You can view the Ohm by clicking here.

The Tactic System is a hybrid software/hardware instrument that give you the flexibility of a software based solution and the hands on control of a hardware instrument. The Tactic m2 interface is completely integrated into the Tactic Pro software, allowing you to start mixing right away. The benefit of the hybrid solution is that we can continue to upgrade the software and functionality while keeping the hardware the same, saving you time and money, and never making the hardware obsolete. As you upgrade your computers and systems, the Tactic can grow with you.

The Tactic m2 instruments works as a hardware controller for the software interface, allowing you to mix without using the computer. You can use the computer to setup your clips, effects and settings, then use the Tactic to create your visuals, using the build in LCD for monitoring. The Tactic m2 send MIDI messages to your computer to change clips, crossfade, adjust speed, volume and manipulate effects. You can also change Clips Banks and effects banks with the touch of a button.

As you can see below the Tactic m2 controls are mirrored in the Tactic Pro software interface.

The Tactic system can be setup in many ways. Below is a sample setup we have provided to give you an idea of how one might run his or her system. The beauty of the Tactic system is that few items are needed to get you running. You will need to connect the MIDI out of the Tactic to the USB port of your computer using a MID to USB interface, and connect the power supply to the back of the Tactic. Both items are included in your Tactic m2 box. Once you have these items connected and the proper drivers installed, all you need to do is connect the Tactic to your computer and start the Tactic Pro Software. All the sliders, knobs, buttons and controls on the Tactic m2 will be automatically mapped to your software interface.
